What are Coaching Presentation Tools?
Coaching presentation tools are PowerPoint templates designed to enhance the effectiveness of coaching sessions by facilitating interactive, engaging, and informative presentations. These tools are crafted to support coaches, mentors, and educators in delivering content that inspires, educates, and motivates their audience, regardless of the context. They integrate various features such as infographics, interactive polls, and multimedia mediums, although they are not strictly multimedia presentations.
By enabling a dynamic exchange of information, coaching presentation tools help maintain participants’ attention, making learning and development sessions more effective. They also offer flexibility to adapt content on the fly, catering to the immediate needs and responses of the audience, or repurpose it for other learning mediums: websites, training manual templates, etc.
Advantages of Coaching Presentation Tools
These tools support remote work environments, a necessity in today’s increasingly digital and geographically dispersed work culture. They facilitate a visual medium for virtual sessions (like Zoom presentations), which in turn allows participants to join from anywhere, breaking down geographical barriers to coaching and learning.
Furthermore, life coaching resources are instrumental in self-coaching scenarios. Those cool-designed slides introduced in self-development courses are PPT templates. They allow individuals to access educational content and engage in self-assessment exercises at their own pace. This autonomy in learning is vital for personal growth and development, empowering users to take charge of their learning journey.
Types of Coaching Presentation Templates
Goal Setting Templates
PowerPoint goal-setting templates are essential tools for coaches across various domains, including personal development, career progression, business growth, and educational achievements. These templates serve as a foundational structure to help individuals and teams articulate their aspirations, set achievable targets, and outline the steps necessary to attain their objectives.
The structured framework provided by goal-setting templates, be it the SMART framework or others, empowers individuals and teams to articulate their visions clearly and concisely. By breaking down larger objectives into manageable actions and timelines, these templates make the goal achievement process less daunting and more attainable. They encourage accountability, as goals are clearly outlined, and progress can be regularly reviewed. Moreover, the visual aspect of seeing goals laid out in a structured format can significantly boost motivation and commitment.
Customized goal-setting templates not only serve as a practical tool for tracking progress but also act as a constant reminder of the objectives at hand. They facilitate discussions between coaches and clients, making the goal-setting process collaborative and tailored to the individual’s or team’s unique context. Essentially, these templates are more than just planning tools; they are catalysts for growth, motivation, and achievement in pursuing personal and professional excellence.

By breaking down goals into measurable components and regularly documenting advancements, individuals and teams can see tangible evidence of their efforts, significantly boosting motivation and morale.
These templates serve as a roadmap, providing clear direction and helping to maintain focus on the end goal. They are particularly effective in identifying when progress is stalling, allowing for timely intervention and strategy adjustments. This proactive approach ensures that potential obstacles are addressed before they derail progress, increasing the likelihood of success.

Feelings Wheel
Feelings Wheel PowerPoint templates are innovative tools designed to facilitate emotional awareness and communication. These templates visually represent a wide range of emotions, organized in a circular format or wheel, to help individuals identify, articulate, and understand their feelings more clearly.
The Feelings Wheel is a powerful resource in coaching, therapy, education, and team-building activities, where emotional intelligence plays a crucial role in personal development and interpersonal relationships.
Potential use cases of Feelings Wheel PPT Templates:
- Therapy and Counseling: In therapeutic settings, feelings wheel templates assist clients in recognizing and expressing their emotions. They can be beneficial for those who find it challenging to verbalize their feelings, offering a visual means to explore and discuss their emotional state. Feedback and Evaluation Templates
This category answers to one important stage in any coaching or mentoring session: the feedback. Mentors or managers use this kind of template to illustrate their mentee’s performance in a development interest category. For example, we can think about the feedback on a training program on conflict-resolution skills for sales representatives.
Please consider that this approach is strictly linked to individuals, not project evaluations. These evaluation templates serve as a bridge between the mentor and the individual, ensuring that feedback is communicated in a constructive, actionable, and supportive manner.
Potential use cases of Feedback and Evaluation PPT Templates:
- Corporate Performance Reviews: Feedback and evaluation templates are integral to performance review processes, where managers and employees discuss past performance, career aspirations, and future growth opportunities. These templates help promote open dialogue and mutual understanding.
- Self-Development Coaching: Coaches and mentors use these templates to guide clients through self-reflection and personal growth journeys. By evaluating progress toward personal goals, individuals gain insights into their behaviors, motivations, and areas where support is needed.
Wheel of Life
Rooted in life coach worksheets and personal development methodologies, the Wheel of Life represents various aspects of an individual’s life as segments in a circular diagram, much like the spokes of a wheel. These segments typically include career, finances, health, family and friends, romance, personal growth, fun and recreation, and physical environment, though they can be customized to suit individual preferences.
The wheel allows individuals to rate their level of satisfaction in each life area, providing a snapshot of their overall life balance. It transforms abstract concepts of satisfaction and balance into tangible, actionable insights, motivating individuals to pursue improvements and celebrate achievements.
Potential use cases of Wheel of Life PPT Templates:
- Self-Development Coaches: Individuals seeking personal growth utilize the Wheel of Life for self-reflection, evaluating their satisfaction levels in various life domains. This introspective process aids in identifying priorities and setting actionable goals for balanced life improvement.

- Workshops and Group Sessions: In group settings, the Wheel of Life acts as an interactive exercise to engage participants in discussions about life balance and shared experiences.

How to Create a Coaching Presentation for Self-Development
For our case study, we will consider a life coach named Emily, who is helping Susan. Susan is a corporate worker with a tight agenda. She has two young children, and she recently started resenting her job as she feels like she is missing out on important milestones in her children’s lives.
Susan also loves baking, and gets quite a lot of compliments from friends and fellow parents about what she considers “her true passion.” Even if Susan would love the idea of starting her own bakery shop at home, she’s fearful about her potential income and making such an abrupt career change.
Therefore, she hires Emily’s services to help her transition from her current job to her dream life.
After some initial meetings, Emily decides to create a slide deck to present the results of her findings on Emily’s life, and which potential tactics they can use to tackle her fear of change.
Slide 1 – Introduction Slide
With some cool photos of bakery shops, Emily crafts an introduction slide titled “Embracing Change: Your Path to a Fulfilling Life,” using the subtitle “Understanding Susan’s Journey Towards Her Dream Career.”
Slide 2 – Understanding Susan
After the engaging title slide, she presents a detailed analysis of Susan’s feelings about her current situation – represented in the Feelings Wheel – and a pie chart showcasing a detailed structure of Susan’s current time assignment per area. This proves to be an extremely resourceful tool as Susan can acknowledge how much time she loses in commuting and meetings, two aspects she totally despises, rather than the time she spends as a financial analyst (the career path she chose).
Slide 3 – Susan’s Dreams
The third slide proposes an exercise using the Wheel of Life to indicate:
- How in alignment does she feel with her current life
- What would her life look like if she pursued her dream of a full-time career
Considering her current job consumes up to 14 daily hours, she could at least spend 2 hours a day – roughly 60% of her commute time – exercising outdoors and improving her health. She would be working from home in a better environment while caring for her children. She can engage in local community activities and promote her business. Mostly, she can spend quality time with her husband, as her job wouldn’t require such an intense stress burden.
Slide 4 – The Challenges Ahead
Emily introduces the Ikigai concept of self-motivation. Then, a matrix slide lists each of Susan’s fears regarding a career change. Next to each point, Emily indicates the reason why Susan feels that way and potential strategies to treat each element.
Slide 5 – Testimonials
The fifth slide of this presentation links to a video created by Emily’s team about past clients’ experiences in career transitioning and how they are feeling after two years. Susan can relate to some cases about their financial position or the radical industry change.
Slide 6 – Susan’s Skills and Strengths
Using an Essential Skills Radar, Emily mapped out Susan’s current skill set and which areas she should focus on for her new career path.
Slide 7 – Market Potential
Like any other business idea, the viability has to be studied. Emily’s team thoroughly analyzed the current market situation for local bakeries in Susan’s area, mapping out potential strategies to tackle that can set her business apart from competitors.
Slide 8 – Practical Exercise
Emily opted to engage Susan in this presentation by putting into practice a joint study of the Financial Planning and Strategy required to set up a bakery shop. Since Susan is a financial analyst, she’s well aware of the metrics to evaluate and how to develop a careful plan and aim to stick within her current savings – asking for a loan was a big no for Susan.
This type of interactive exercise helps Susan acknowledge that all she did in the past won’t be neglected. It’s still part of her life and skill set, and she can put the effort into something of personal value. Additionally, she can start mentoring her kids in entrepreneurship, an idea she’s quite fond of.
Slide 9 – Work/Life Balance
As this was a point of particular interest in Susan’s life, especially given her stress-induced illnesses within the past two years, Emily’s team curated a plan so Susan doesn’t feel she has to work 24/7 during the initial stages and how she prevents burnout considering she will be her own boss.
Slides 10 & 11 – The Action Plan
Using goal-setting PPT templates, Emily is able to map out all of Susan’s career-related goals to help her transition from her current job to her dream life. These include pending projects, savings, investments, courses, etc. Each goal is given a timeframe to be completed according to the SMART goal-setting framework.
Then, a roadmap to track the progress of this action plan is introduced with some excellent graphics. Susan truly feels excited and sees the light at the end of the road to make her dreams come true.
Slide 12 – Closing Slide
The presentation concludes with one simple phrase in white with a contrasting background: “Your thoughts?”. There, Emily allows Susan to express what she considers out of this suggested plan, her doubts, and which path they should follow. It acts as a Question-and-answer session but in a more relaxed format.
Final Words
As we can see, coaching presentation tools are not that different from tools commonly used in other activities, yet the Wheel of Life and the Feelings Wheel stand out as tools specifically tailored for this purpose. Context is key, and any presenter should work creatively to represent content clearly while connecting with their target audience.
We hope this introduction to coaching presentation tools inspires you to create unique slide decks for your mentoring projects. See you next time!
