The water cycle is a four-step path followed as water circulates between land, water bodies and the sky. It begins with the evaporation of water from the water bodies to the air. The water condenses in air to form clouds. The clouds fall back to the land and water bodies in form of rain. Part of this water enters the land to form underground water while the rest is collected in water bodies where the whole cycle starts again.
