This slide is an example of a static software diagram. It is created as a block diagram, where each block represents a system component. Systems Components are delimited with dotted lines blocks that modelate boundaries, and connectors labeled with the specific communication protocol. Connectors are tied through interfaces. The components contain modules, which are the internal sub units processing the behaviour. This Software Block Diagrams are ideal for describing high level Application Programmers Interfaces (API’s), their interactions and dependencies.
