Pakistan as well as all Middle Eastern food share one Islamic quality which is being Halal. It’s an Islamic law that provides guidelines or a list of food and drinks that are allowed to be consumed. This law is more of identifying the type of meat that can be consumed in Islam. It also sets standards on how to prepare the food. Aside from Halal, Middle Eastern food are predominantly prepared with assortment of spices. The most common spices used are cardamom, turmeric, mustard, cloves, mace, nutmeg and black pepper.
