The 7 Degrees Strategic Freedom for Growth are:
- Maximizing existing customers: In other words, selling existing offerings to existing customers. The strategies vary from increasing marketing efforts for current use, cross sell, upsell, etc.
- Attracting New Customers: Acquiring new customers in existing markets. Strategies involve looking a way to get new markets to buy current offerings.
- Innovation of Products and Services: Creating new products and services for existing or new customers. This strategy is the most common one applied.
- Innovation of the value-delivery system: Developing new value-delivery approaches. Strategies involve creating new ways to deliver the same value proposition.
- Geographical Expansion: Moving into new geographies with markets ready to accept the product/service offering. Strategies involve M&A in new places, subsidiaries and resellers.
- Creating a new industry structure: This can involves M&A in already owned geographies that allow reduce costs or exploit economies of scale.
- Stepping out into new business arenas: Compete in new business arena around vertical integration.
