• Cash cows: Cash cows have a high market share in the slow-growth market. They support the portfolio’s growth but do not produce enough income to reinvest in it. 
• Question Marks: These products have a low market share in a high-growth market. These are the potential products that can convert into stars.
• Dogs: This category of products is the least favorable. They break even and just maintain the business market share as they generate very little cash.
